Founded in 1975, the Faculty of Social Science fulfills a national resource need by producing high-quality graduates with the morals and ethics essential for the betterment of our sophisticated society. At the same time, these students leave SWU with a heightened awareness of the significance of Thai culture and a greater appreciation of its intellectual accomplishments.

Research conducted within the Faculty has led to enhancements in social services and improvements in the quality of life in many Thai communities. The Faculty is composed of five departments: Business Administration, Geography, History, Political Science, and Sociology. It offers Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, including a Bachelor's degree in Business Education in cooperation with the Faculty of Education.
