Research and Development Institute for the Gifted in the Visual and Performing Arts(Gifted-VPA)

As Srinakharinwirot University is dedicated to education, it is natural that it support an institute for research on gifted and talented children. Teaching and learning courses are very important for the educational development of gifted and talented children.  The Institutes’ philosophy, that education is the unfolding of human potential, finds its mark in the mission statement: “to foster education, coordinate educational research and to increase public awareness so that gifted candidates are assisted to more fully develop their talents.”

The institute, founded in 1999, cooperates with the Office of National Education Commission and both public and private educational organizations to achieve the following objectives: to facilitate with research involving the gifted in the visual and performing arts; to coordinate activities with the Bureau of the National Education Committee; to coordinate with other educational institutions, both formal and informal, to serve and assist the Gifted-VPA; to develop and database for educational research in this area; to be a hub to coordinate training for resource people, teachers, caretakers and parents of the Gifted-VPA; to publicize research and related knowledge in respect of the Gifted-VPA.
